Fishing permits are available for 1 Day, 3 Days, 1 Week, or Full Season.
To obtain a rod license, you can purchase one online at the Post Office website.
Brown trout season starts on the 20th March and runs through to the 17th October, Sea trout runs usually start in June and Salmon usually start entering the system by late August with the grilse coming a bit later.
The Dwyfor Angling Association holds the fishing rights along the river on both sides of the bank between Dolbenmaen and the tidal stretches at Aberkin just south of Llanystumdwy, covering approximately 8 miles. The Association also holds fishing rights on stretches of the rivers Dwyfach and Henwy respectively.
